Dr Vivek Upadhyay joined Kerry in 2006 in Ireland as part of the graduate program and has held progressively senior RD&A leadership roles in Europe and APMEA region. He currently serves as Research, Development and Application Director for Middle East, Indian Subcontinent and Africa (MISA) region.
He was involved development of natural taste solutions and setting up relevant technology labs at the Global Innovation Centre in Naas, Ireland. In 2017, Vivek relocated to Bangalore to lead Kerry’s Indian Subcontinent RD&A and RA function before moving to Dubai, UAE, in 2021. In his current role, he continues to drive innovation and technological advancements in taste and nutrition, aligning with evolving consumer demand for healthier food to support teams across the Middle East, India Subcontinent, and Africa.
Vivek holds a PhD in Food Chemistry from University College Cork, Ireland.
